Snit takes Eritrea into Miss World Top 40 with Africa voting win

Snit Habteab Tewoldemedhin has secured Eritrea's place in the Miss World Top 40 quarterfinals after winning Africa's first round of the People's Choice vote, Miss World announced on its official media channels. The result takes Eritrea into the quarterfinals in its debut year at the competition.

Voting continues, with all 111 contestants eligible for the worldwide round and their accumulated points carrying forward. The two highest-scoring contestants will advance directly to the Top 12, before a final People's Choice vote awards one place in the Top 6.

Snit's participation has also brought attention to Designing for Diversity, her initiative promoting disability inclusion and inclusive learning opportunities for children of all abilities.

The Miss World final will be broadcast live on September 5 at 7 p.m. Vietnam time, equivalent to 3 p.m. in Eritrea, according to the organiser's announcement.
