Miss World reveals the story woven into Snit's Eritrean runway gown

Miss World has released new details about the gown worn by Eritrea’s Snit Habteab Tewoldemedhin during the World Designer Award presentation in Nha Trang. Designed by Ali Mohammed, founder of A|G Habesha, the gown uses newspaper-print fabric featuring stories in Tigrinya, Arabic and English, including a photograph and account of Snit’s first pageant victory.

According to the organiser, the flowing cape represents stories yet to be written, while the overall design reflects Eritrean heritage, cultural identity and self-expression. The presentation adds a cultural dimension to Snit’s participation as Eritrea’s first Miss World representative, alongside her disability-inclusion work through Designing for Diversity.
