Eritrea's only entrant in the elite women's road race, Monaliza Chneslasie, recorded DNF in the 180.1km race on 26 September, which ran over eight laps of the 13.4km Mount Royal circuit.

Demi Vollering (Netherlands) won the title in 4h 45' 09", with Katarzyna Niewiadoma (Poland) finishing on the same time and Elisa Longo Borghini (Italy) third at four seconds. Marlen Reusser (Switzerland) was fourth at eight seconds.

The race started in Brossard at 09:00 local time and Vollering reached the Avenue du Parc finish at 13:45, well inside the 14:10 slot the organisers had scheduled for the winner.

The elite women's road race was the sixth of the Championships' seven days of racing, and the last before the elite men close the event on the Mount Royal circuit.
